Love Honey Review

My next review, this time of the online company Love Honey, comes from the advice of an acquaintance that I recently met on a sex enthusiast chat room about a month ago. She told me that after buying her first toy at Love Honey, she never bought her sex toys from anywhere else. With that sort of rave recommendation, I couldn’t wait to check this company out for myself.

When I first got online, I realized immediately that this site has been around for a long time. And not in a good way either, as the reason I could tell this was the case is because their website design was so outdated. Not only did their layout include a plain, if not boring white background, but the images themselves looked straight out of the 70’s. The bedrooms were colored with neon pink lighting and everything about the sex toys screamed tacky and uninspiring. Seriously, I am convinced that this company does not have any sort of marketing team at all, because if they did, they would have suggested a few small but effective changes to make their site more appealing for women in today’s day and age.

I will give them credit though for their excellent customer support.  Not only can you literally call them at any time using their 24/7 hotline, but they also offer a 24/7 “Live Chat” for those of you who would rather get help that way. You can even email them at their customer care email address, meaning they cover just about every option available for contacting them. At the very least, even though the site itself looked tacky and old, you could be sure that if you would get just the help you needed if you were having difficulty finding what you were looking for. And at the end of the day, the whole goal of going to a sex toy store online is to eventually find what you are looking for and making a purchase, so props to Love Honey in that regard. The website itself was still pretty underwhelming as a whole though.

On this particular evening, I was particularly in the mood for another rabbit vibrator, so I decided on purchasing the “Fifty Shades of Grey Greedy Girl G-Spot USB Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator”. Quite a mouthful I know, but the vibrator looked extremely sleek and pleasurable, so I just had to get my hands on it. Especially since I just saw Fifty Shades Freed the weekend prior haha – by the way, that was a totally underrated movie, even without the (few) kinky sex scenes. The vibrator came with a cute velvet drawstring to hold the toy in, which although was a nice gesture seemed kind of overkill, especially since I don’t see any reason why I would want to store my sex toy in that manner (it only makes getting it out and ready to play with take that much longer!).

Once I started using the vibrator, at its peak, it felt so intense and pleasurable overall. The vibrations were crisp and all of the various intensities were hitting me perfectly. However, my one major gripe with this product was the fact that I had to actively maintain pressure of the vibrator against my vaginal walls. Unlike most rabbit vibrators where you can literally just hold it in place inside of you and everything works perfectly, this toy didn’t work unless it was held in just the right position. It definitely wasn’t the length as I specifically selected this one for being a whopping 9.5 inches. I think it had something to do with the girth and just the overall shape, but in any case, the fact that this sex toy was only amazing when I put in effort was disappointing to say the least. Especially since rabbit vibrators are particularly known to give you amazing pleasure basically without having to lift a finger.

The price for this sex toy was $89.99, which would have been pretty reasonable assuming the toy’s performance met my expectations. However, as I just stated above, it unfortunately did not, meaning that the price I paid was not as worth it as it could have been. Realistically, if I was able to try out the toy myself before purchasing it, I would not have paid more than $60 for it. So fairly lackluster in terms of the value received for the toy itself. I do feel like if I were to purchase from them again, I would eventually be able to find something that is worth the price tag, just based on the other offerings I saw on their website. However, most customers don’t have the luxury of wasting money on toys until find the perfect one, so in that sense Love Honey definitely left me wanting more.

BOTTOM LINE: Despite my personally poor experience with Love Honey, I feel like they are not a bad company overall. Having good customer support is a cornerstone of running a successful business, so in that respect they were absolutely superb, despite the poor website design overall. And while the sex toy that I ended up purchasing was absolutely underwhelming in terms of performance and therefore price, I think a significant number of women out there could end up finding much better success in purchasing a sex toy from them. If you do decide to go that route though, do so at your own risk. Because there’s still a very good chance you end up like me, being left fairly disappointed by the whole experience.
